My New Postpaid Plans

I have maintained 2 mobile lines for the past 6yrs. One for Globe Telecoms and one for Sun Cellular.

Previously my plan for globe was 499/month consumable and i top it off with a grandfathered Super Duo (unlimited calls to globe/TM and landline within area network).

I have been a Globe subscriber since 1997 and only got one phone from them (nokia 61i circa 2007). And recently I was having a hardtime calling a landline and maintaining a long phone call with their congested network.

Their loyalty offer to me last time I was eligible for one was an iPhone3G (in think 2009) with money out! So i did not take it (because Im not an apple fan). Then next to that they offered me a galaxy y (2011) which they dont have stock. And recently (yesterday), they offered me a 3gs with 14k money out. Are they serious!? That model is 3 generations too old! And they also offered me blackberries with moneyout in the range of 14k to 24k money out. Bb is a dying brand and your offering that to me?! Ripp off offers! So i decided to get the 125/month rebate. They calculated this by saying that my plan was only 499 even tough Im paying them atleast 1000+ a month. The 499 for superduo is only an addon so it does not count. Wow.

So if this is how they treat a loyal subscriber who pays them 1000/month ATLEAST the past few years, then I dont thik they deserve my money.

Therefore I downgraded to P599/month (unlimited call and text to globe/tm).

My experience with Sun Cellular is a bit sunnier. I started with them for 350/month (unlimited call and text to sun) and maintained that for 4 years so I got 2 free phones from them. Then I also got 2 more lines for my wife and my mom (which i got free phones too). Then when it was time to upgrade my line I upgraded to 450/month (unlimited call and text and free 20 hours data) with again another free phone, a galaxy y.

But now I wanted an unlimited data plan. So do i go with globe or sun?

Logic dictated that I go with sun because of their better treatment to me. So that i did.

I ugraded my 450 to 999/month (unlimited call and text to sun and unlimited data) and topped it with 199/month (free 1000 text to other networks).

So in the end my Sun plan is 999+ 199 or 1198/month, and my globe was down to 599/month.

If only globe treated me better, they were my 1st choice. But now Im invested with Sun and im planning to stick with them.

Actually im only keeping my globe because most of my friends are still using Globe.

My thoughts on CJ Corona Impeachment

CJ Corona guilty of amassing wealth for sure but who of them public officials dont? But as they say: "Mahuli taya! "
Prosecution is doing a shitty job at the LEAST! If this is how our public prosecutors do their job in our local courts then... We are definitely screwed!

JPE and his amber glasses are the true epitome of age means wisdom.

Jinggoy Estrada is doing ok but less grand standing please.

Sen Mirriam is showing how learned she is. But please dont show off. And I think she needs to rest cause of her health. The blunders of prosecutors are doing her bad.

Cuevas is doing a very good job. Its just he is no good in a impeachment court that is lax on technicalities.

Sotto is such a lucky dude. He has the most microphone time because he is the majority floor leader but he had contributed NIL.

Showing their class for me is Chiz, The Cayatano siblings, the Nose (Drilon) and Arroyo.

Lapid is ok. He knows his limitations.

Bakasyunan Resort, Tanay Rizal

We had an overnight stay in Bakasyunan Resort in Tanay Rizal. Its about 1.5-2 hours drive from Ortigas Ave. Tanay Rizal is still rural so you will not have any other place to eat. So better eat inside the resort. We got a romantic package. Simple overnight stay in a NEW room is 2500php. There are room for 6, 5000php, and good for 10, 10,000php. There are plenty things to do inside the resort. Swim, play billiards, sing videoke, and some other outdoor activities. Here are some pictures. Enjoy.

Metro (Garbage) Deal!

Got a deal from Metro Deal for a cruise dinner for 250php per person (545 original) . It was supposed to be an eat all you can dinner. When I called to reserve, they told me that its no longer eat all you can buffet but became plated dinner instead. So I said ok as if I had a choice. I expected plated dinner, with soup, salad, main course and dessert. But was greeted with soup and their so called plated dinner. Everything in one plate!
The cruise was okay. It was windy and the sights were decent (youll se the lights from MOA). But the dinner part was terrible to say the least.
Lesson: METRO DEAL SUCK BIG TIME. I think its their responsibility to check the pictures of their ads and to make sure thats what people get. The picture when I got the deal was a picture of a eat all you can dinner with nice tables with wine. What i got was one plate dinner with cold soup and plastic tables and chairs!

Jozu Kin

Ate in Jozu Kin in Ronac Art Center for dinner. All the food we ordered were good but our Kamameshi Rice was a disappointment. We have eaten this before and it was always good. This time it was sticky and sour. Nagkamali lang siguro ng luto ang chef.

MOA Eye

We went on to ride the Eye ferris wheel in MOA. It costs 150 per person. Minimum of 4 (means if you are 2, you must share a booth with strangers. Weird.) and max of 6 per carriage. Whole ride is about 10mins. So thats 15 pesos per minute!

Girl with a Dragon Tattoo (Film 2011)

Just finished watching the american version of the movie Girl with a Dragon Tattoo.

Im no movie crtitc but I liked the screen adaptation. Ive read the book, all three of them and I say that the movie was as good as the first book. I'll be waiting for parts 2 and 3.

I would like to watch the swedish version of the movie just to compare.

From reading wikipedia entries for both movies, it stated that both lead actresses did a pretty good job of being Salander. Id like to judge that for myself.

3.5 out of 4.

P. S. Someone just slept for about 5-10mins during the start of the movie so that meant the movie was interesting enough. :)

Emergency Charger for Galaxy Tab 7

Here is a pic of my emergency charger setup for my galaxy tab 7.

1) usb charger that uses only AA rechargeable batteries.
2) galaxy tab usb adaptor that can charge a tab from any usb socket.
3) usb to galaxy port (came with the galaxy tab 7)
4) not seen, two AA 2500MaH inside number 1)

The setup costs me around 7 USD not including the AA rechargeable batteries. But it can be bought anywhere and are cheap.
